Embark on a one-of-a-kind educational journey with "2025 Treating Without Pain at Sea: Advanced Techniques and Innovations in Pain Management."
This unique course offers an extraordinary opportunity to learn advanced concepts while sailing the open ocean aboard the cruise ship, Caribbean Princess, from February 17th-23rd, 2025. Join us for an unparalleled voyage where the classroom meets the sea, guided by the esteemed Alison Taylor. Discover her revolutionary "Treating Without Pain" treatment concepts, tailored to enhance your expertise in managing hand and upper extremity conditions. Alison will delve into the management of Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome, Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, and Neural Compression, providing you with cutting-edge strategies and techniques. Throughout this innovative course, you'll explore advanced treatment methodologies, including the dynamic applications of Kinesiotaping, the precision of Mobilization with Motion (MWM), the therapeutic benefits of cupping (MFD), the targeted relief of focal vibration, and the efficacy of IASTM. Learn to master pain-free treatment approaches and gain a comprehensive understanding of patient assessment from the holistic perspective of the 4 S's: Skin, Scar, Sensation, and Swelling. Alison will also lecture on special patient populations, offering insights into the unique needs of musicians, gamers, and athletes. Engage in thought-provoking discussions and witness live demonstrations on how fascia, muscle imbalances, and joint alignment influence pain and range of motion. And get ready to learn how the upper and lower extremities can influence each other, as Alison discusses the concept of Biotensegrity. Stay ahead of the curve with exciting updates on emerging modalities, including the use of thermal imaging. Embrace out-of-the-box thinking as we delve into joint positioning, alignment strategies, the transformative power of Kinesiotaping, and the intricate techniques of skin and fascia mobilization. Our extensive lab sessions provide hands-on experience, allowing you to perfect these innovative techniques and apply them effectively.

This class will be an Advanced level class discussing and demonstrating the concepts developed by Alison Taylor for treating the upper extremity without pain. The course will draw on fundamental Kinesiotaping concepts in addition to Dermo Neuro Modulation concepts, Tuning fork- focal vibration treatment, and IASTM using mini scraping tools. Research, with a focus on the cutaneous nervous system, specifically skin- epidermis and dermal layers to support the elimination of pain in the limb during treatment, will be presented. It is expected that participants be familiar with Kinesiotaping techniques, as well as have attended a live or online class hosted by Alison Taylor, so they are prepared for the class. This class will be fast paced and deliver new, advanced concepts in Hand Therapy. This class will offer 12 CEUs of live class work.
